The Foundation Solidaridad por Colombia is a private, non profit institution of collective interest and indefinite duration, created in 1975 by Mrs. Nydia Quintero Balcázar, its president. Its objective is to foment citizen solidarity in Colombia in order to help the less fortunate sectors of society.

The Antioquia Regional of the Foundation Solidaridad por Colombia has had a repercussion in the country’s development. Its strategic objective is to carry out programs and projects in the different areas of social development, in low income communities, promoting, arranging and taking measures to attain the participation of the community, government, NGOs, and private enterprise.

Its vast experience and the existence of a qualified trans-disciplinary group endorse the design, execution, administration, advice, follow-up and auditing of projects in areas such as:

• Nutrition.
• Cohabitation.
• Old age.
• Integral reconstruction of communities.
• Training for employment.
• Education.
• Recreation.
• Humanitarian aid.
